The Empty Mind
The Full Mind
The Mind that Wants
And the mind that doesn’t want anything
If you step outside of what you sense
for long enough
The mind goes to a different place
A place without borders
A Universe
A Sea of Space
In a journey beyond this body
What can we find
shifting through this emptiness
in the fog
In a forest of green trees
You can hear them grow
You can smell the black soil
As you move into the heart of the wood
You find children playing
at different ages
One is throwing a baseball
Another is striking a golf ball
A young adult is reading
The Invisible Man
And you see yourself
reflected in a pool of water
There you sit
looking at your computer screen
And you realize
you are five minutes late
to a meeting
